Leather Man Quad Bandana — Art by Dom “Etienne” Orejudos
The story
Classic bandana format. Queer visual code. Hand silk-screened in NYC.
Dom "Etienne" Orejudos's iconic leather figure repeats across the field — four corners, one body, a pattern that quietly references the clone: the hyper-masculine archetype that defined late-70s queer identity and aesthetic. The layout is designed to read whether worn bandit-style or flagged from a back pocket.
Three visual languages in one object: the bandana as historic signaling tool, the clone as cultural symbol, Etienne's linework as archival touchstone. Bold, restrained, and sharper than it looks.
Featuring imagery from the Dom 'Etienne' Orejudos Collection, Leather Archives & Museum, Chicago.
