Rose Cory
The story
Rose Cory is a New York-based transgender artist and activist known for provocative performance art and street calligraphy. Formerly an antique restorer, she transitioned in 2009 and became a fixture in the NYC scene — notably through her 'Rimbaud Project' and performances at The Box. Her life and work as a queer icon are featured in the documentary 'Miss Rosewood.' Adam's Nest has collaborated with Cory on the 'Queer AF Don't Tread On Me' graphic, produced as t-shirts, patches, hoodies, and long sleeves. The collaboration originally supported the production of 'Out In The Streets' — a feature-length documentary by Daniel 'Dusty' Albanese exploring queer street artists. Proceeds now support The LGBT Community Center NYC.
