Brian Kenny
The story
Brian Kenny is a multidisciplinary artist whose vivid, unapologetic work explores queer identity and gender fluidity through an autobiographical lens. He uses diverse mediums — painting, textiles, performance — to deconstruct traditional masculinity and reclaim cultural symbols. Adam's Nest has collaborated with Kenny on multiple iconic graphics: the pink pussycat (women's rights, Planned Parenthood), the unicorn (Summer of Sass), and the love triangle (The Trevor Project). The pink pussycat was created in summer 2016 in response to customers asking for graphics that spoke to women, and was subsequently used to address women's rights, the Women's March, and support Planned Parenthood. Kenny was the partner of queer artist Slava Mogutin, and Adam Singer has work from both artists in his personal collection.
