Happy Women's History Month!
It's Women's History Month; an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. Jane Fonda is a woman who has consistently fought for what she feels is right and If you missed the Golden Globes on Sunday night, you missed her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Award; it is linked to above and is worth a listen.
Award shows via Zoom certainly don't provide the same entertainment we are accustomed to, but this year there were so many movies, series, and mini-series that highlight so many of the problems we face as society today. Jane shouted out much of the entertainment that really spoke to her and opened her mind to different stories.
We know it's 2021 and we've seen so much change in our lifetimes regarding LGBTQ+ acceptance, but we also know we have a long way to go. We still found ourselves happily surprised to see Jodie Foster accepting the Golden Globe for best supporting actress for her performance in The Mauritanian, in silk pajamas from her couch with her wife Alexandra Hedison. We were so inspired we decided it's the perfect time to launch a second "Read My Lips" tee featuring the art of Gran Fury supporting Rainbow Railroad. We are offering a variety of styles and colors for pre-order that will ship in April. The styles and colors we offer will be based on orders received so shop now to ensure you can get exactly what you want.
As they say, March comes in like a lion! The last two nights we were wakened by the rain and howling winds, we're hopeful it isn't indicative of the whole month ahead. Here's Luis masked and distant in our Lion tee collaboration with Brian Kenny, we'll be bringing back some other graphics we've done with Brian for summer. We're busy spring cleaning and getting ready for warmer temps and eagerly awaiting our turn for vaccination.
